  • Birth to Three Services

Advance is a provider of early intervention services for the Connecticut Birth to Three System.  Birth to Three offers support to families with children who have an identified disability or developmental delay.  Advance therapists conduct multidisciplinary evaluations to determine if a child is eligible for therapy services.  Together with the families and caregivers, the intervention team develops an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) that includes goals, strategies, and resources for the family to help their child.  Parents are their children’s best teachers, and are encouraged to take an active role in visits.  In order for children to be successful in their day to day activities, therapy visits take place in the child’s natural environment (i.e. home, daycare).  Therapists work with parents and caregivers to teach them how to help their child learn new skills and reach his or her goals during daily routines.

Advance Birth to Three staff includes Physical and Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, Social Workers, Teachers and Early Interventionists that provide regular services to children and their families based on the child’s individual need.

Intervention teams work in collaboration with the child’s pediatrician, community agencies, and the local public school district to provide the most efficient continuum of care.
